Enhance your photos using six available Color Effects settings, or use the “Normal” mode to capture things as they are. There are also five shooting modes—Normal, Indoor, Sports, Double Exposure, and Bulb—each optimized to help the camera perform better in specific scenes or shots.

If a particular scene could benefit from additional lighting or shadow details, you can choose from five adjustable brightness levels, or leave the brightness set to “Normal” to keep things natural. After capturing a photo, the images are printed on 2 × 3 inch INSTAX MINI instant film, which is sold separately.

FUJIFILM designed the INSTAX MINI 99 camera with a selectable zone focusing system: 9.8 inches to infinity for landscapes, 1 to 2 inches for macro shots, close-ups, and selfies, and 2 to 9.8 inches for everything in between. A manual half-frame switch narrows the aperture for a more artistic look, and you can also change the tone of the scene through flash control. With dual shutter buttons, users can easily capture scenes in both portrait and landscape orientations.
